About This Film

This film is a test for future studies in time-lapse photography. The images that make up the film are automatically saved by the same software, EvoCam, that powers the webcam. EvoCam also stitches the images together as a movie. For this first experiment, I imported each day's movie as a clip in iMovie '07, then exported it at full-quality as a Quicktime movie, before uploading it to YouTube.

If one watches the timestamp, it is obvious, that I clipped approximately 7 hours off each night (10pm-5am) in order to make the film more watchable. Personally, I believe the total darkness helps to emphasize the beauty of this area. I am still not sure how the rest of this experiment will go, but I hope to continue it for the next year.
